Adverse Side Effects of HPV Vaccine Reported in India

Angry citizens have demanded answers from the Indian government about why their daughters are suffering debilitating side effects from trials of the HPV vaccines Gardisil and Cervarix.  A press releasefrom a group of women activists reveals how the pharmaceutical companies that created Cervarix and Gardisil tested their products on unwitting young girls (10-14 years old) in India.

They failed to inform parents about what side effects could be expected, offered the young girls no proper follow up, and tried to hide the side effects that came about as a result of the trial.

The women have petitioned the Indian government to stop the distribution of the vaccines.

"The petitioners believed that by vaccinating children with HPV vaccines while being fully aware of the potential dangers, the organizations involved knowingly put the lives of tens of thousands of children at risk from potentially serious vaccine-related adverse reactions and death."

The list of side effects is frighteningly long:

Some of the girls died. Some suffered serious adverse effects. Some of the girls developed autoimmune diseases that would require lifelong care. The manufacturers themselves acknowledged adverse events such as anaphylactic shock, seizures and paralysis, motor neuron disease, blood clots, eye, ear and vascular problems and even death, and problems affecting the nervous system, the immune system, the musculoskeletal system, the blood and lymphatic system, the respiratory system, the gastrointestinal system and the vascular system.

A parliamentary panel struck to investigate determined that the allegations had been proven, according to an editorial in the British Medical Journal (2013), and the panel has now demanded answers from the Indian government.

Even in India where the incidence of cervical cancer is much higher than in Canada, doctors are publicly saying the vaccine IS NOT NEEDED.  In an essay in the British Medical Journal (Sept. 2013) Allyson Pollock says that "a roll out of the vaccine is completely irrational from a public health perspective" because significant questions remain as to "whether it [HPV vaccine] works, whether it is needed, and whether it is a health priority."

Have you heard about this in the media?  No!! Are they reporting the same experiences Japanese parents have had with the vaccine?  NO!! Please read this story about the kinds of health effects this vaccine can cause --otherwise healthy teenagers who had full involvement in sports have been knocked out of all their normal daily activities and into wheelchairs for years.

And now parents in Canada are willingly offering their daughters to the same treatment?  When they can keep on top of a tiny number of cervical cancers with non-invasive PAP screening and easily treat any lesions that do occur later on in life?  We must stop buying into the HPV vaccine propaganda that this is a safe vaccine and tell the real story to our friends and family!
